Naturopathic Medicine
Approaching your health from Within
Symptoms are signals, not the whole story. I dig into the physiology behind them, and make sure you understand what I find. This way, you're not just treated, you're informed, and equipped for lasting health.
What is Naturopathic Medicine?
Naturopathic medicine looks at the full picture of a person’s health, not just a diagnosis or isolated symptoms. It asks how different systems in the body interact, and how lifestyle, nutrition, stress, environment, hormones, and past health events may be contributing to what someone is experiencing now.
-
For example, a concern like fatigue isn’t viewed as a single problem. It may be influenced by blood sugar regulation, thyroid function, nutrient status, gut health, sleep quality, infection or chronic stress. Rather than treating fatigue alone, naturopathic care works to identify and address the underlying imbalances driving it.
About Dr. Lapshina
My passion for naturopathic medicine grew out of a fascination with nature, physiology, and how the body continuously responds to the environment we live in.
-
In my work, I focus on identifying the root cause of a patient's imbalance so we can build a realistic path toward better health. I have a strong interest in digestion, hormonal support, mental health, and immunity. In practice, I spend much of my time supporting patients in women's health, pediatric care, and complex chronic illness, areas that often call for a thoughtful, detailed assessment.
My treatment plans may draw on functional lab testing, holistic nutrition, lifestyle counseling, evidence-based nutraceuticals, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and botanical medicine, choosing what fits best for each individual rather than relying on a single method. My goal is to offer care that feels sustainable, practical, and grounded in sound clinical reasoning.
I completed my undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Guelph, and my Naturopathic Medical training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto.
